To calculate the applicable price for your quilt, use this formula:
[(quilt width) x (quilt length) X price per square inch = your cost)
Basting: This is offered for individuals who prefer to hand quilt.
Prices: start at $35.00 – or at $ .075 per square inch
Meander Quilting: Freehand meandering in various shapes and larger sizes. There are many styles from which to choose, and samples are on display at the studio.
Prices: start at $ .01 per square inch, and depends on the size of the meander
Semi-Custom Quilting: [need description]
Prices: from $ .02 to $.025 per square inch
Custom Quilting: [need description]
Prices: $ .025 – $ .04 per square inch depending on complexity of quilting design
Heirloom Quilting: This is the type of quilting where the artistic value and quilting experience can make the quilt. This could include feathers, freehand, trapunto, stitch in the ditch, McTavishing and custom styled motifs for your quilt. This is the type quilting for those of us who love heavy quilting.
Prices: start at $ .045 per square inch, maximum price is $.085 per square inch
Extra charges: These are charges may or may not apply to your quilt. They will be discussed when your worksheet is filled out at the time of drop off. The more time you spend with your quilt top and backing the less time I will have it and the less it will cost you.
Set up fee – $15.00 (on average: some quilts will be more and some less)
Marking – $25.00
Turning – $25.00
Thread Charge $8.00 and up (additional charge for specialty threads)
Squaring up back – $25.00
Sashing – $25.00
Trapunto – $125.00 – 250.00 (depending on complexity of design)
Adding to backing to make large enough to quilt $25.00
Open Seam repair – $5.00 per
Pressing Quilt top – $25.00
Pressing Back – $15.00
Making, Applying and hand stitching Binding to back of quilt – $.25 per inch
Half Binding applied with long arm machine – $.075 per inch (measure all sides and total)
Full Binding – $0.25 per inch (measure all sides and total)
Legacy Batting by Pellon:
80/20 = $10.95 per yard
70/30 = $8.55 per yard
Poly = $6.95 per yard
Wool = $14.95 per yard
